The Country Engagement Note (CEN) for Haiti for 2024-2026 prioritizes addressing Haiti’s immediate needs, supporting recovery efforts to jump-start the economy, and laying the foundation for sustainable and inclusive growth.

This engagement note focuses on three main priority areas:

  1. Bolster economic development for future rapid, inclusive, and sustained growth.
  2. Enhance basic service delivery and human capital development.
  3. Improving institutional capacity and rule of law.

Additionally, the CEN incorporates two cross-cutting themes: i) supporting the most vulnerable populations, including women, youth, and internally displaced people and ii) increasing resilience to external shocks and avoid future loss.

The CEN aims to keep the IDB engaged, adaptable, and responsive to the evolving and fragile context in Haiti.
