Rise Up is an IDB climate change education initiative that seeks to encourage children and youth to use their creativity and energy to come up with feasible, sustainable, long-term strategies to mitigate climate change. The "Learning in XXI Century Schools" regional project aimed to foster the development of educational spaces that enhance learning outcomes by improving the design, planning, and management of school infrastructure. With workshops conducted across 17 countries in the region, the project explored ways to create innovative learning environments that support contemporary pedagogical practices and climatic conditions, all while promoting a sustainable and resilient infrastructure.
Eleven regional workshops have been organized to analyze issues related to the design, planning, construction, operation, and maintenance of school infrastructure, as well as to exchange best practices from inside and outside of Latin America and the Caribbean. Learn more.
