What is the Amazon Bioeconomy and Forests Management Multi-Donor Trust Fund (AMDTF)?

 

The AMDTF is one of the main donor funds of Amazonia Forever Program. Its primary purpose is to support national and subnational entities, and public and private entities, in the Amazonian countries to plan, design and implement investments to halt deforestation, increase forest restoration and conservation, and improve sustainable landscape management in the Amazonia region. 

To date, the AMDTF has received a total commitment of over USD 50 million from five donor countries: Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Italy.

Amazon Indigenous Organizations to Strengthen Bioeconomy Capacities with IDB Support

DUBAI – The Italian Ministry of Environment & Energy Security (MASE) and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) made substantial contributions to boost the Amazonia Forever Program donor funds led by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in the Amazon region.
