RG-T2279 : Building Support for Teacher Policy Rreform in Central America and the DR

The main focus of the TC will be teacher policy and its main goal will be to raise the profile of education reform, stimulating debate and building the necessary consensus. It intends to address the policy dimensions mentioned above and develop broad support for improving teacher policy in CA and the DR. It will work with business groups, non-governmental organizations and universities to strengthen their capacity to discuss policy options that motivate governments for reform and monitor progress. It will provide informed advice to promote reform and tools to monitor progress. It will also work with governments, policy-makers and implementers to communicate new approaches to teacher policy, involving them in policy debates, and providing direct assistance when appropriate. These actions contribute to raising the profile of education reform and mobilizing broader societal support for a new policy agenda.
