The general mission is the promotion of dynamic and sustainable urban mobility system in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte, taking into account the integration of the Capital with the nine adjoining municipalities of Red 10 (Contagem, Betim, Ribeirão das Neves, Santa Luzia, Ibirité, Sabará, Vespaziano, Nova Lima e Brumadinho). The specific objectives are: (i) to develop a Mobility Plan containing diagnosis, directives and proposals of alternative logistic modes for the region of the ten municipalities of the MRBH, in line with the sustainable urban mobility policy, considering the Belo Horizonte Urban Mobility Plan ¿ PlanMob- BH, in final phase of elaboration, the existing mobility plans of the other municipalities of Red 10, and the other plans and directives elaborated by the State; (ii) to create a Mobility Observatory, structured in a system of regularly measured and disclosed indicators, promoting analysis by urban specialists and feeding back into the mobility plans, guaranteeing its operation for two years, with views to validate the model and to leverage permanent resources for its continuous operation; (iii) to establish a Bikeways Plan for the metropolitan area of the MRBH, with about 360 km of proposed lanes; (iv) to develop a metropolitan tariff policy that considers the capacity of payment of the segments of users and physical and tariff integration between metropolitan and municipal mass transit systems, simulating its impacts in the revenues and costs, and proposing revenue distribution schemes; and (v) to study the south axial vector of the region, identifying present and future mobility problems and analyzing the best technology for the implantation of a fast transport corridor integrated to individual modes of transport.
