Go online: Go to www.mycigna.com to access behavioral resources. Select the option to “Find Care and Costs” or “Find Care” to schedule an in-person or virtual appointment with an in-network behavioral provider to help your situation or chose “Talk to a doctor” for immediate care.

Note that Cigna Healthcare provides three free sessions with an in-network behavior health provider through its own Employee Assistance Program (EAP - this is in addition to the one provided by the IDB Group mentioned below). Make sure to check the box to see providers that provide EAP appointments to take advantage of the Cigna Healthcare EAP and obtain your authorization number to give to your provider so they know to submit the claim to the EAP benefit.

The IDB Group’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is offered through Cigna which provides you with free, confidential counseling services to staff, consultants, and people in their households to address a broad body of issues affecting your mental and emotional well-being.

The EAP is a platform that provides free and confidential counseling services, which can help you address many issues that can affect your mental and emotional well-being. You can:

  • Get guidance from professional advisors, any time, about any issue, either work-related or in your personal life.
  • Speak with a counselor if you have a problem you feel you do not have the emotional tools to face by yourself.
  • Access a wealth of online resources and information to support your mental, physical, work/life, social, and financial well-being.

 

About the Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

The EAP is a confidential counseling and referral service to assist staff, consultants, and their household members with personal or work-related problems that adversely affect their quality of life. The counseling service is available 24/7 to help you with:

  • Emotional Health: Access virtual or face-to-face short-term counseling for stress, family concerns, and life changes, as well as support for depression and anxiety. See more on child care/family issues and elder care.
  • Financial Services: Speak with a financial consultant to receive education on budgeting and money management, in addition, you can receive referrals to financial experts on topics like budgeting, debt management, and retirement planning. See more.
  • Legal Advice: Receive free referrals to local practitioners on family law, real estate, estate planning, and more as well as identity theft. Please Note: EAP does not handle employment-related consultations. See more.
  • Work/Life Issues: Get help with balancing the demands of working and living in today's world, plus health and safety concerns.
  • Pet Care: So whether you’re going on vacation and need to board your pet or your pet is simply due for a vet visit, you can get a referral to a variety of resources. See more.
  • Convenience Services: With our Convenience Services Referrals program, you’ll have quick and convenient access to trusted local resources, such as volunteering, consumer issues and dining/entertainment, to assist you with your everyday needs. See more.
  • Managers: The EAP provides additional support for managers. See more.

You can access Cigna Global’s mental health resources to help support you and your dependent’s mental health. You have 24-hour access to a live doctor consultation by phone or video with the Cigna Wellbeing® app, as well as a range of lifestyle and well-being resources, including:

  • Initial mental health assessment.
  • Psychiatry referrals.
  • Consultations with a licensed doctor for non-emergency symptoms.
  • Consultations for other specialties, including: pediatrics, orthopedics, dermatology, obstetrics and gynecology, gastroenterology, back pain and internal medicine.
