The program focuses on three pillars to engage the global private sector—public procurement, trade and investment, and financing—creating new avenues for businesses to engage with, and participate in, the tremendous economic opportunities that Latin America and the Caribbean present.
PPP Americas is the leading Latin America and the Caribbean event focused on Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs). Held every two years by the IDB, it's an itinerant event, hosted by a regional government. It brings together key stakeholders from the public and private sectors to discuss, collaborate, and advance the development of sustainable and impactful projects across the region.
The initiative defines regional public goods (RPGs) as goods, services or resources that are produced and consumed collectively by the public sector and, if appropriate, the private, non-profit sector in a minimum of three borrowing member countries of the IDB.
The Seminar Series aims to create a forum to discuss trade policy issues relevant for Latin American and Caribbean countries based on rigorous empirical research that informs the design of policies and help understand their determinants and economic impacts. Presenters are primarily guest researchers. Participation is open to all interested parties.
