The 16th Annual Conference of the LACEA Trade, Integration and Growth Network will be held at the Universidad de los Andes in Santiago, Chile on May 28-29, 2026.
This conference is sponsored by the Latin American and Caribbean Economic Association (LACEA), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and the CAF - Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean.
Calendar
- The deadline for submissions is February 28, 2026. Please note that only papers written in English and in PDF format will be considered. While detailed abstracts will be accepted, there is a strong preference for nearly completed papers.
- The final selection of papers will be made by March 10, 2026. This year selection of contributed papers and discussants will be made by a Program Committee whose members are: Emily Blanchard (Dartmouth College), Álvaro Felipe García Marín (Universidad de los Andes, Chile), Anna Maria Mayda (Georgetown University), Diego Restuccia (University of Toronto), Peter Schott (Yale University), and Christian Volpe Martincus (IDB).
- The conference program including links to the papers to be presented will be posted on the website by May 15, 2026.
- The selected papers will be presented along invited contributions at the 16th Annual Conference of the LACEA Trade, Integration and Growth Network (TIGN) on May 28-29, 2026.

Logistic information
The sponsoring organizations will cover travel (economy class) and accommodation expenses for the authors of the selected papers (one author per paper). Other detailed guidelines explaining the logistics of the conference will be provided at a later stage.
