Transparency matters for development effectiveness. Access to easy to understand data on development spending and results provides greater accountability to stakeholders while enabling improved country planning and donor coordination.
The IDB redoubled its commitment to transparency in November 2011 by signing onto the International Aid Transparency Initiative(IATI) at the Fourth High-Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness in Busan, Korea. IATI provides a common standard for development financing information so users are able to access data from different development partners in a single location and format.
