Internal Audit is a valuable resource for achieving the institutional goals and objectives of the IDB Group, as well as strengthening internal controls and organizational governance.
WHAT WE DO
The Office of the Executive Auditor (AUG) reports to the President of the IDB and, through the Audit Committee, to the Executive Board.
Its mission is to assist the IDB Group in achieving its objectives through assurance and advisory services aimed at increasing value and promoting continuous improvement of operations, as established by the Statute of this Office (DR-569-19). Providing quality internal audit services that add value, are dynamic, and more frequent, covering all areas of the organization.
Its values are synthesized in working under a common mission and vision with ethics, integrity, transparency, confidentiality, quality, trust, respect, equity, and inclusion. Its key objective is to ensure the delivery of quality work based on internationally recognized internal audit best practices.
