Diego Murguiondo, a citizen of Argentina, has been appointed General Manager of the Budget and Administrative Services Department as of September 1st, 2019. In this role, Mr. Murguiondo is responsible for leading the formulation and monitoring the execution of the Bank’s administrative and capital budgets, corporate procurement, and a wide array of corporate administrative and facilities-related services at headquarters and country offices. Mr. Murguiondo advises the Bank’s Board of Executive Directors and Senior Management on all aspects of the Bank’s Budget and Administrative Services.
Mr. Murguiondo joined the Bank in 1999 and has held several positions in the Finance Department and the Human Resources Department. Since 2012, Mr. Murguiondo was the Chief of the Compensation, Benefits and HR Services Division in HR, where he was responsible for leading the design and administration of compensation and benefits programs. He was a critical member of the HR team that restructure and modernized the HR function, developing key components of the Bank’s Human Capital Strategy. Prior to this, Mr. Murguiondo was the Chief of the Accounting Control (Accounting Operations) Unit, leading the Capital Markets, Loans and Grants, and Administrative Accounting Groups. Before joining the Bank, Mr. Murguiondo worked for 9 years for an auditing and consulting firm in Argentina.
Mr. Murguiondo holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Robert H. Smith School of Business of the University of Maryland. He is also a Certified Public Accountant from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina and a United States CPA.
