THE PROGRAM'S OBJECTIVE IS TO IMPROVE THE PERFORMANCE AND ADMINISTRATION OF HEALTH INSTITUTIONS IN THE MANAGEMENT AND USE OF RESOURCES; TO PROVIDE FOR A MORE RATIONAL USE OF HOSPITAL INFRASTRUCTURE AND CAPABILITIES; TO PROVIDE TRAINING TO HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATORS AT BOTH CENTRALIZED AND DECENTRALIZED LEVELS IN HOSPITAL PERFORMANCE AND ADMINISTRATION FOR SELECTED HOSPITALS. A PREINVESTMENT COMPONENT WILL PREPARE PROJECTS FOR WIDE SECTORAL APPLICATION.
