In 2023, PPP Americas was held in Panama City, coordinated with the National Government and key strategic partners.
Under the theme "Partnerships with Purpose," the event brought together over 250 representatives from the public and private sectors across 20 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia.
The agenda covered six key topics: climate investment, digital transformation, logistics chains, job creation, inclusion promotion, and impact measurement. To prepare for the event, the IDB hosted three online seminars from December 2022 to May 2023, focusing on these areas.
The event showcased a diverse portfolio of projects, ranging from traditional infrastructure like transportation to healthcare and education. This underscored the vital role of PPPs in addressing both infrastructure and social gaps in the region.
