Strengthening Foundational Skills and Promoting Sustainable Development in the Amazonian Region
To promote an inclusive and sustainable development of the young population in the Bolívar state of Venezuela, by improving access to quality education adapted to regional cultural and economic diversity. The project seeks to develop and pilot scalable models to address the decline in the quality of teachers and improve student retention in the educational system that allows them to develop the skills of children and youth and thus the human capital of the Amazon region of Venezuela. To improve access to quality education that is inclusive and relevant to local needs, the project has two specific objectives. First, adapt, develop, evaluate and disseminate models for the effective teaching of mathematics in primary education. Second, to adapt, evaluate and disseminate a model to promote the development of green skills in children. The TC will finance the application of the model in a group schools managed by a non-governmental organization in the State of Bolívar in Venezuela that offer primary education in economically disadvantaged communities.
