University Network for Applied Studies
In response to the insufficiency of regulatory capacity and expertise in the Latin American/Caribbean (LAC) region, this Technical Cooperation seeks to build regional training capacity in infrastructure privatization, regulation and finance, and create synergy among regional universities for deepening expertise in the regulation and financing of infrastructure services. The project components are: (a) demonstration ; and (b) training of faculty and network development. Under the first, five regional universities will: (a) cooperatively develop teaching and training programs, or demonstration , in infrastructure; and (b) build and strengthen their capacity in case study development. For the second component, the project team will invite qualified universities, with demonstrated capacity in infrastructure privatization and regulation, to submit proposals detailing how they would act as the institutional partner to the Bank in this program.
