Institutional Strengthening FIE - FFP

The objective of the project is to consolidate and strengthen FIE as a leading provider of microfinancing services by improving and broadening the scope of these services for the benefit of its customers and the institution.
a. Hire specialized technical assistance for: (i) design new products, including credit for housing, rural credit operations for small population nuclei, and research and design a "smart card" (ii) market research for new areas (iii) develop a communications strategy and the strengthening of the institutional image, (iv) advise on long-term strategies, assessment of risk assets and improving operational mechanisms, (v) assist in attracting small savings, incentives personnel, and implementation of provisions of the Central Bank and SBEF, and (vi) update the "software" (change of platform) and developing modules for new products;
b. Train key staff in managerial and operational level: (i) for managers / head offices and branches of analysis and interpretation of financial statements, budgetary and human resources management, (ii) to loan officers: evaluation, classification, placement and collection of receivables, (iii) for accountants: applying rules of SBEF and analysis and interpretation of financial statements, and (iv) specialized courses for cashiers in the current management, and computerized management of new products. The training will be done through different modalities, including timely events, seminars, workshops, and work with staff and external trainers.
