Implementation of Public Transport Program
The objective of the proposed Technical Cooperation (TC) is to: (a) evaluate the technical, financial, and institutional feasibility of the construction of a mass transit system in Managua; and (b) identify the optimal manner to modernize the present system of public transportation to best coordinate with this mass transit system The mass transit system should be carried out through project financing. The modernization of the remaining of the public transport system would be financed through NI-0111 program, an integrated municipal development program aimed at improving the quality and coverage of urban services in Managua.
