Labor Training

The purpose of the project is to support the reform of policy and private sector actions of the national training system in conjunction with the Bank's Labor Training Program. Specifically, the MIF's contributions financed the institutional strengthening of 26 Collaborating Training Centers geared to increasing the quality of services, promoting their self-financing, and providing training to the Center staff in issues related to productivity and training. In addition, the project seeks to strengthen private sector training institutions in order to expand the quality and range of curricular offerings, thus increasing the quantity of training and labor market services provided by the private sector market through the privatization of the training services. Finally, the Program sets up a Training Scholarship Fund to assist the government in the reform of its training policy.
