University of California Berkeley Program Impact Evaluation Executive Education

The long term objectives of the program are to: (i) institutionalize the role of impact evaluation in policy-making throughout the region especially in the infrastructure and environment sectors; (ii) empower national and local governments and NGOs to carry out and apply lessons from impact evaluation; (iii) develop capacity for asking appropriate questions and using impact evaluation not only for accountability, but also to advance knowledge; (iv) develop deeper capacity in the region for generating and presenting evidence; and (v) improve the scope and quality of evidence used to formulate IDB projects and policy recommendations.
