Public International Trade and Investment Law Capacity Building
Specific objectives are: - Provide participants with a greater understanding of the rules, operations and impact of the WTO multilateral trading system, including the work program set out in the Doha Development Agenda (DDA), and of the relevant regional trading arrangements; -Enhance the ability of participants to assist the governments' effective participation in the work of the WTO, in particular the DDA negotiations, and to implement the WTO Agreements domestically; Strengthen the ability of participants to assist the local enterprises' ability to meet the challenges of and to benefit from global trade liberalization and regional economic integration; Enhance the capacity of participants to contribute to the implementation of foreign investment and trade policies and strategies for integrating trade and investment into national development and poverty reduction policies and to translate national and regional policy objectives into government positions in international negotiations.
