GALÁPAGOS’ CIRCULAR VENTURE ECOSYSTEM

To establish an entrepreneurial ecosystem that enables a climate-resilient, circular and nutritious food system and gastronomic culture from and for the Galápagos inhabitants and visitors. This project's core hypothesis is that by creating stable local demand with schools and the tourism sector, supporting circular ventures, and coordinating actors through data and governance, Galápagos can generate a local culinary identity while improving nutrition and incomes. The project will contribute to building a circular-food ecosystem with (i) shared innovation infrastructure; (ii) open data + light traceability for food items; (iii) multi-actor governance; and (iv) a pipeline of ventures and services adopted by schools, Hotels, Restaurants and Catering, and public institutions
