Institutional Strengthening and Support for PPP Project Structuring
The overall objective of the TC is to improve the conditions to facilitate private participation in the financing and implementation of infrastructure projects and public services in Ecuador. The specific objectives are: (i) support the transport and energy sectors in structuring PPP projects; (ii) facilitate the exchange of experiences and incorporate best practices in the region in the development of PPPs; and (iii) contribute to the development of local capacities in the understanding of the challenges and benefits of PPPs. In order to achieve these objectives, the TC will feature three main components: (i) Institutional strengthening for PPPs, (ii) suport for PPP project structuring in the transport and energy sectors, and, (iii) local capacity development.
