DR-T1077 : Support to the Social Protection Program Phase III

The Operational Input will support the development of both the operation DR-L1047 and the identification of a future operation in 2012, through a series of studies related to improving the quality of health services that serve the beneficiaries of the Solidaridad Program. In particular, the project has the following objectives: ¿Estimate, in coordination with the Government of Dominican Republic, the cost of a Basic Health Plan that Solidaridad¿s beneficiaries have access to. ¿ Estimate performance and management indicators for the first two phases of the project to support the Solidaridad social protection program, which will provide information about progress made to attain the goals established in the country strategy. ¿ Design of management agreement contracts between the various entities in the health sector, which are crucial for improving the quality of maternal and child care. ¿ Design of an innovative results based framework that encourages providers to improve the quality of health services.
