Tourism Plans and Investment Designs in Wild Protected Areas
The general objective of this Technical Cooperation is to finance consulting services to facilitate the execution of the Loan "Tourism Program in Protected Areas" currently under preparation by RE2/EN2. The specific objectives of the TC are the following: a. Produce detailed designs of the investments identified in the Sustainable Tourism Plans already developed for the Braulio Carrillo, Corcovado and Manuel Antonio Protected Areas and develop the appropriate studies and documentation to obtain the environmental authorization necessary to execute these investments. b. Elaborate the Sustainable Tourism Plans for the remaining 7 of the 10 Protected Areas considered in the Program that don't have such Plans yet. These Areas are Volcán Poas, Cahuita, Volcán Arenal, Irazú, Tortuguero, Rincón de la Vieja and Caño Negro. c. Improve and develop environmental and social impact monitoring plans for the 10 Protected Areas and generate a baseline for the indicators. d. Create standard designs for the most recurrent investments included in the Sustainable Tourism Plans developed for the 7 remaining Protected Areas to facilitate the execution of the works identified in the Plans and to ensure that all the investments have a uniform design across the Protected Areas.
