Knowledge Exchange in Hydrovias and River Projects

The objective of the technical cooperation is to contribute to the strengthening of the fluvial way in Colombia, by means of the exchange of international experiences in matters of institutional and operational management of waterways, with particular attention to the Paraná-Paraguay Waterway. Indeed, the aforementioned Waterway is one of the most interesting examples of river transport at the international level, in which five countries participate with the objective of establishing an industrial navigation channel for the movement of one of the largest volumes of bulk cargo at the international level. This fluvial engineering project is a reference for Colombia, considering that the country has waterways that cross large areas of its territory.
