The project aims to structure a DBFOM (design, build, finance, operate and maintain) PPP for the implementation of Metro Lines 3 and 4 in the in Belo Horizonte's Metropolitan Region (RMBH). Line 3 is expected to have around 4.6km of subterranean tracks with 6 stations in the central area of Belo Horizonte, the State's capital, and reaching the city of Nova Lima, in the RMBH. It will be integrated with the existing Line 1.Line 4 is expected to have around 22.6km divided on superficial tracks and light rail, with 18 stations in the cities of Contagem and Betin within RMBH. It will also be integrated with existing Line 1. As the government of Minas Gerais already has several engineering, demand and environmental studies carried out over several years on these two passenger transport lines, the PRA is important to help identify the overall quality of existing studies, their fundamental gaps, the existing data and if it is outdated or not, and which data or studies already carried out can still be used. This identification can bring more rationality when creating the terms of reference for project structuring, optimizing costs and timeframe for PPP structuring activities.
