Top economists in IDB seminar to discuss the outlook for the world economy and Latin America

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is holding a seminar to discuss the outlook for the world economy and how it can affect the future economic performance of Latin America and the Caribbean. The event will take place on Sept. 23rd at the IDB’s headquarters in Washington D.C.

Renowned economists including Carmen Reinhart of the Peterson Institute, Guillermo Calvo from Columbia University, Raghuram Rajan from the University of Chicago, Stephen Cecchetti from the Bank of International Settlements, Paulo Leme from Goldman Sachs, and Liliana Rojas-Suárez, from the Center for Global Development, will be discussing whether the world economy could face yet another crisis given recent economic developments in the United States and Europe and how Latin America and the Caribbean ought to prepare to face this possible challenge.
