Celebrating 50 Years of Partnership Between Japan and the IDB Group

The Inter-American Development Bank Group (IDB Group), in collaboration with Japan’s Ministry of Finance, is pleased to announce the Japan LAC Business Forum 2026 “50 Years of Japan–IDB Group Partnership,” marking the 50th anniversary of Japan’s membership in the IDB Group.
This high-level forum will be held on August 24-25, 2026, in Tokyo, Japan, aiming to foster concrete business opportunities between Japan and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) through high-level seminars and business matching sessions.
The event seeks to further strengthen economic cooperation in key sectors such as energy security and critical minerals, disaster risk management, venture capital and innovation ecosystems, agribusiness and food systems, and the silver economy, among others.
