- Online media registration is available for March 18-22 gathering of Latin American and Caribbean leaders
The Inter-American Development Bank and IDB Invest will hold its Annual Meeting in Barranquilla, Colombia on March 18-22, with economic and financial leaders from its 48 member countries looking to make economic growth more sustainable and equitable in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Representatives of other development agencies, commercial banks, companies and civil society organizations will also attend the gathering. The event is the 61st annual meeting of the IDB’s Board of Governors, the Bank’s top decision-making body. Most Governors are ministers of finance or ministers of the economy, or central bank presidents.
Activities include a business summit with discussions on digital innovations and integration, and seminars on making economic growth work for all citizens, the evolution and future of infrastructure, the contribution of creative industries to development, and how technology can improve the quality of public institutions.
During the event the IDB Group will release its annual macroeconomic assessment of the region.
