Cultural Development Program of the IDB Cultural Center

The Cultural Development Program funds small cultural projects with social impact in the IDB’s 26 member countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. Since 1994, the program has co-financed more than 500 cultural projects benefiting more than 60,000 people in all of the Bank´s member countries.

The IDB and the Civil Society

Civil society is a key partner in the IDB’s development work in the region. The Bank particularly values the contributions of civic organizations that provide technical expertise, execute projects, advocate for vulnerable communities and promote transparency in development.

The IDB works with civil society organizations to help develop the social and economic potential of the creative sector in the region through various programs supported by its Cultural Center.
