Tokyo – The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Office in Asia successfully hosted the IDB Career Webinar, welcoming students and alumni from Kobe University, Kyoto University, Sophia University, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and Waseda University.
The webinar, moderated by Representative of the IDB Office in Asia, featured four guest speakers from IDB headquarters (Washington D.C.): an HR Lead Specialist, a Senior Specialist from the Social Sector, a Senior Specialist from the Disaster Risk Sector and a Consultant from the Institutions for Development Sector.
The session provided valuable insights into IDB’s work, recruitment, career development and IDB’s hiring process together with the experiences of Japanese professionals discussing their career paths, the skills needed for success at IDB, and their personal experiences working in Latin America and the Caribbean.
We are hoping the participants would express interest in IDB’s dynamic and multicultural work environment, emphasizing the organization’s unique combination of teamwork, professional growth, and engagement with Latin American and Caribbean development.
