The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) announces the opening of the second phase of public consultations on the Infrastructure Strategy for Competitiveness and the Public Utilities Policy. Both consultations will be open from September 18 to October 17. IDB’s goal is to receive feedback and comments from key stakeholders such as governments, private sector organisms, civil society, policy makers, and experts.
The Infrastructure Strategy defines the Bank’s long-term vision to address Latin America and the Caribbean’s needs of quality infrastructure services for sustainable and inclusive growth. The Public Utilities Policy describes the conditions and principles ruling the Bank’s actions intended to promote universal and access to public services such as electricity, natural gas, water and sanitation, solid waste, and telecommunication services.
To participate in this process, visit the public consultation web pages— Infrastructure Strategy for Competitiveness and Public Utilities Policy —and send your comments to BIDinfraestructura@iadb.org.
