Finances goods and services to support the preparation, execution, and evaluation of investment projects.

Examples: Conducting pre-feasibility studies and design as well as other required studies needed as for a loan to improve access to health services.
 

Financial Terms

Lending rate: SOFR base rate + IDB Ordinary Capital variable lending spread: 

SOFR base rate is USD SOFR daily overnight compounded rate + IDB's funding margin. Funding margin for 1st quarter 2026 is 41 bps.

IDB’s Ordinary Capital lending spread - for 2026 is 80 bps.

Fees: Commitment fee 50 bps; applicable on undisbursed loan amount and starts to accrue 60 days after loan contract signature.

Financial terms applicable to the potential new loan are the same applicable to any Investment loan.

Individual operations financed with the Facility that result in an IDB loan: ​
• The resources granted under an individual operation and applicable financial and loan charges (interest and fees) will be recovered from the first disbursement of the proceeds of the loan granted by the Bank for the respective project or program.​
 

​Individual operations financed with the Facility that do not result in an IDB loan: ​
• If the amount disbursed under the Facility is less than US$100,000, the SG Borrower should repay the amounts owed in semi-annual installments over a period of 12 months from the date of the last disbursement of the individual operation under the Facility.​
• If the amount disbursed under the Facility is above such threshold, the individual operation financed by the Facility must be repaid in 10 equal, semiannual installments over a period of five years from the date of the last disbursement of the individual operation under the Facility.​
