The general objective of this study is to help the Government of Chile in the preparation and disclose of a methodology to evaluate the dams under seismic impacts. Specifically the objectives will be: (i) to define the referential seismic conditions; (ii) to identify the dams and the zone related to public risk; (iii) to prepare calculation of dam stability under seismic impacts; (iv) to present a conclusive report with recommendations for each dam analyzed; and (v) to divulge the methodology and the results in seminars and courses.
