The 18th Annual Conference of the Euro-Latin Network on Integration and Trade (ELSNIT) was held online on October 28-29, 2021.
Organization: The conference is organized by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Bocconi University, CEPII, the European University Institute (EUI), Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI), the Kiel Institute of the World Economy, and the University of St. Gallen.
Thematic Focus: This year the conference will focus on Service Trade. Submissions of papers examining the patterns, determinants, and effects of service trade along the economic and institutional dimensions from researchers who are associated with a European or Latin American/Caribbean based academic or research institution are especially encouraged. The papers should be written in English.
- The deadline for submissions is July 15, 2021.
- The final selection of papers will be made by July 31, 2021. The selection of contributed papers and discussants will be made by a Program Committee whose members are Simon Evenett (University St. Gallen and CEPR), Holger Görg (University of Kiel and Kiel Institute for the World Economy), Bernard Hoekman (EUI and CEPR), Jacint Jordana (IBEI and UPF), Gianmarco Ottaviano (Bocconi University and CEPR), Vincent Vicard (CEPII), and Christian Volpe Martincus (IDB and CESifo).
- The final versions of the papers must be delivered by October 14, 2021.
- The selected papers will be presented along with invited contributions at the XVIII Annual ELSNIT Conference that will be held online on October 28-29, 2021. A recognized expert in the field will comment upon each paper.
