OpportunA is an economic opportunity accelerator that promotes reforms, partnerships, and solutions for a more competitive and productive growth in Latin America and the Caribbean. It works with governments, the private sector, and other actors to expand access to employment, entrepreneurship, and other economic opportunities.
How does it do it?
- Public-private dialogue
- Inter-institutional coordination
- Network Generation
- Mobilization of resources and technical capacities
Latin America and the Caribbean has enormous potential to boost economic growth through greater economic participation in the labor market and entrepreneurship. However, gaps persist that limit this potential and reduce the competitiveness of the region.
- 58% Women's labor participation in the region, compared to 70% in high-income countries.
- Up to 30% Potential GDP growth by closing the gap in labor participation.
- Up to 15% Potential increase in per capita income by closing the gap in entrepreneurship.
