Chief Advisor of the Office of the Executive Vice President

 

Mr. Nestor H. Roa, dual citizen of Colombia and Italy, was appointed Chief Advisor to the Executive Vice President on September 16, 2022, having previously served as Chief of the Transport Division in the Infrastructure and Energy Sector since October 2010.  Prior to joining the Bank in 2001 as an Infrastructure Specialist,  Nestor served as Commissioner and Director of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission in Bogota, Colombia, as well as Coordinator of the Infrastructure Private Sector Group in the National Planning Department, also in Bogota, among other leadership positions in the public and private sector.   Nestor holds a Master’s degree in Management of Technology from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and a degree in Civil Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia.
