
Morgan Doyle, an American citizen, is the General Manager of the Southern Cone Regional Country Department (CSC) of the Inter-American Development Bank since October 1st, 2024. Previously, he was the IDB representative in Brazil since March 11, 2020.
As the Representative in Brazil, he oversaw the IDB's programming and dialogue with key stakeholders at distinct levels of government, the private sector, and the ecosystem of NGOs and startups, as well as the update of the IDB Group's Country Strategy with the country in 2024.
Previously, he was the Country Representative in Uruguay (2017-2020) and Ecuador (2013-2017). In over 23 years of career at the IDB, he also served as Senior Advisor to the Vice Presidency of Sectors and Knowledge.
He led several financial sector operations, working with key public sector agencies involved in housing finance and support for small and medium-sized enterprises, debt management, financial sector regulation and supervision, and guaranteed transactions, among others.
He holds a bachelor's and master's degree from Brown University in International Development and has received several academic distinctions, including a Fulbright scholarship and a research grant from the Inter-American Foundation (IAF).
He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
