Magdalena Coronel has been Chief Investment Officer at IDB Lab, the innovation and venture capital arm of the IDB Group, since September 2021, and is also serving as Interim CEO since November 2025.

Magdalena brings more than 15 years of experience in angel investing, venture capital, and investment banking in both the United States and Latin America. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Universidad de la República Oriental del Uruguay, and a master’s degree in business and administration from NYU Stern.
