Graham Macmillan
Chief Executive Officer, IDB Lab

Graham Macmillan is CEO of IDB Lab, the innovation and venture arm of the Inter-American Development Bank Group. Under his leadership, IDB Lab supports visionary entrepreneurs and disruptive technologies to address pressing development challenges and drive new industries for growth in Latin America and the Caribbean. He has over two decades of experience in impact investing, philanthropy, and financial inclusion.

Before leading IDB Lab, he served as Head of Global Philanthropy at Visa and President of the Visa Foundation, where he led a $500 million global grantmaking and impact investing strategy focused on inclusive economies, small and microbusiness growth, and gender equity. Previously, he was Senior Program Officer for Mission Investments at the Ford Foundation, overseeing a $1.25 billion impact investing platform, and earlier held leadership roles at Citi, the Citi Foundation, and VisionSpring.

Throughout his career, he has served on several boards, including Village Capital, and on the Executive Committee of the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE). Graham holds a BA from Colby College, an MSc from NYU Wagner, and an MBA from NYU Stern, with joint studies at the London School of Economics and HEC Paris.
