Claudio E. Otero Muñoz earned a bachelor’s degree finance from the University of New Orleans (UNO), United States, and hold an MBA in finance from INCAE Business School (affiliate of Harvard Business School in Latin America.) and an Advanced Finance Program, M&A & Leadership at Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
He is an experienced Board Member, well-versed in asset management, especially focused in financial engineering through structured finance, valuation, corporate finance, capital allocation, liability management, highly complex strategic negotiations, supervising teams, mergers and acquisitions and closing strategic deals that add significant value to companies.
Skilled in envisioning and implementing capital structure strategies with keen focus on investment and financing of capital resources for accomplishing business milestones.
An intuitive leader with expertise in providing strategic direction, generating new project pipelines via market research, performing detailed valuation analysis, developing acquisition offers, turning around companies, and accelerating companies’ growth. Excellent communication, analytical thinking, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; able to build and maintain enduring relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Mr. Otero has been part of Grupo Terra (¨Terra Inversiones¨) in different key Management and Director positions for more than 28 years+. Currently he is the Managing Director of Structure Finance & M&A of the Energy Business Unit of the group.
