The Operational Policies of the IDB are divided into two parts for purposes of dissemination on the Bank's website: 

General Operational Policies

This chapter contains a general description of operational policies, common to all types of financing activities, as well as the principles governing the access to information on Bank activities.

The operational policies of the Inter-American Development Bank are intended to provide operational guidance to staff in assisting the Bank's borrowing member countries. Over the course of the Bank's more than 50 years of operations, the approach to developing operational policies has taken various forms, the most recent reflected in the Report on the Ninth General Capital Increase.
