Sustainable Urban Bus Planning & Design
(1) to perform a detailed needs assessment for safety along Panama's roadway network, to include both urban and non-urban roads; (2) to develop a concentrated demonstration project to showcase tangible safety improvement measures; and (3) to carry out the implementation of the Pilot Project developed in (2) above along an important selected stretch of roadway. The implementation of the Pilot Project will be carried out in phases using the total amount of 1.2 million listed above. The end-term objective of this activity is to prepare the Panamanian government for the inclusion of safety improvement elements in future road sector loans.
