Integ. and Border Development Projects
The objective of the operation is to create a databank of Integration and Border Development Projects (BPIF) in order to identify those that are technically, financially, socially and environmentally viable. The intention is that these projects will be financed with credit resources from multilateral entities or with the cooperation of international donors. The goals of these projects are: to improve the social and economic conditions of the border zones, the local and international flow of commerce; to cooperate with the process of regional and border integration; to facilitate the development of tourism, and; to overcome the existent limitations on infrastructure.
