Health and Quality of Life in Latin America
The general objective of this TC is to measure the contribution of health to the quality of life in LAC and to support the activities of the Social Protection and Health Division by generating information to improve the quality of the operations and Bank projects in the health sector. The specific objectives of this TC are the following: (a) to review the existing global reports about health status, burden of diseases and health related quality of life indicators in LAC; (b) to elaborate appropriated indicators and to develop a regional database on health status and epidemiological transition, social determinants of health and associated risk factors, malnutrition, and health related quality of life, and; (c) to elaborate an IDB document, including analysis, conclusions and trends to LAC related with the previous items.
