THIS PROJECT IS BASED ON PROVIDING AND GUARANTEEING THE MAINTENANCE AND REHABILITATION OF APROXIMATELY 27,400 KM OF EXISTING HIGHWAYS. AMONG THE ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN, THE MOST IMPORTANT INCLUDE: ROAD REHABILITATION AND HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE; MAINTENANCE OF BRIDGES AND TUNNELS; AND THE IMPROVEMENT OF EXISTING HIGHWAYS. OTHER ACTIONS INCLUDE: PROVIDING AND INSTALLING ROAD TEST SITES; AND ACQUIRING EQUIPMENT TO FACILITATE INSTITUTIONAL STRENGTHENING.
