Medium and long term scenarios for Venezuela post-COVID-19 and the decarbonization process
This TC proposes to elaborate a strategy for medium and long-term growth for Venezuela after the COVID-19 pandemic, the new international environment and the changes that the country faces after the unprecedented crisis that the country has been suffering. Specifically, the TC proposes: (1) Estimate the potential medium and long-term economic growth scenarios of Venezuela given the changes in the international environment and the COVID-19 pandemic, after the implementation of stabilization and reconstruction efforts, (2) propose recommendations of the public policy frameworks that must be designed and implemented to allow the adjustment of institutions to this new reality, including the availability of suitable human capital, (3) propose productive strategies for the consolidation of nascent sectors and the flourishing of new sectors that allow to inject dynamism into the economy in the medium and long term, after the reconstruction process is underway and (4) propose a strategy to achieve the availability of suitable human capital.
