Flood risk reduction in Montevideo with a focus on urban resilience
To support the Municipality of Montevideo in strengthening the resilience of urban drainage systems in the city of Montevideo to the impacts of climate change. To achieve this objective, this TC will finance activities related to three main aspects: (i) incorporating climate change adaptation measures in Montevideo's urban drainage systems; (ii) reducing the vulnerability of urban areas to flooding and other threats exacerbated by climate change; and (iii) strengthening technical and institutional capacities in the planning and management of climate-resilient drainage infrastructures.
