Promotion of energy efficiency and renewable energy in milk farms

The project aims to increase the efficiency of energy use by 500 farmers dairy cooperative members. By reducing overall energy consumption, and promote the integration of renewable sources, there will be contributions to the profitability and sustainability of primary production of milk as well as the environment, generating reductions in CO2 emissions. To achieve this, support access to technical expertise and develop innovative ways to access the financing of investments needed for this group of rural MSMEs. The Project will generate technical capabilities within the country. The emphasis on learning and information gathering will help to expand the benefits then the entire dairy industry and agriculture in Uruguay and the region.
