Program to implement Uruguay's National Public Security Plan (PNSP)

The program's general development objective is to contribute to reducing criminal violence linked to organized crime in Uruguay by strengthening institutional capacities in public security and criminal justice. The specific development objectives are to: (i) strengthen the public security sector's strategic planning and coordination capacity; (ii) increase police effectiveness in areas with high concentrations of crime and in the police identification of homicide perpetrators; and (iii) increase the effectiveness of criminal investigations.
